Jenna,
a young single mother, suffers from Bi-Polar Disorder, PTSD and Depression. We filed a claim for Social Security with her and she was approved benefits. Due to the income she was receiving for child support, she was initially denied benefits for being over income for the Supplemental Security Income program. After looking further into the denial, we found that the income she was receiving should not have been counted as her own. We filed an appeal and were able to get the decision reversed. She now is able to have a monthly income for her and her child.
